"Really? You're not allowed to drink alcohol?" Tali piped up, looking curious.

Mary shot a look at Kori as if hoping he might suddenly die of the venomous gaze, she looked down at the vodka, a realisation dawned across her face and she quickly passed it to Tali. "Here you drink it," she looked down, she wasn't going to not drink it because of the Legion's moronic ideals but because of other reasons.

Kori looked at the vodka and pushed it away from Tali. "We are all strictly prohibited from drinking any alcohol or taking any other addictive substances like stimpacks, med-x etc." Kori waved his hand and nodded, a few people gave him an odd looking as if wondering what he was rambling about.

"One drink doesn't really hurt though..." Tali said, picking up the vodka and taking a small sip. She then proceeded to cough as the liquid burned her throat.

"I know right," Mary nodded in agreement with Tali. "But that's not why I'm not drinking, I don't feel well, a cold I think!" She did a fake cough into her hand and ordered some water from the man again.

Kori pulled an ashamed face. "Tali how could you, if anyone found out they'd ave you punished," he tried to grab the vodka from her though only proceeded in spilling much of it.

"But it was only a small sip!" Tali said anxiously. "Anyway, I prefer Nuka Cola to anything alcoholic."

Mary nodded and turned around, having apparently ordered both Tali and Kori one. "Here," she gave them both a bottle of the cola and returned to her water. She was suddenly very quiet and those buying someone a soda wasn't exactly the work of a saint it was oddly nice for her.

Kori held the cola. "Thank you Mary," he took a sip and tilted his head, wondering what had got under her skin.

"Thanks Mary!" Tali said as she accepted her bottle of soda and began to drink it happily.

Kori sat down on the table besides them and sighed. "This is boring how long do we have to wait?" He moaned and drunk some more of his soda, very impatient.

"Until the passports are done, it's going to take a few more hours Kori so find something to entertain yourself," Mary rubbed her temples and then took a large gulp of her water, already irritated with the guy.

Kori tapped his fingers and looked at Tali. "So Tali what do you think of us and the Leg-" he paused as Mary kicked him in the shins, what kind of idiot just out right asked someone about the Legion in public. "Ouch ouch okay, what do you think about us..and our band of merry me?" He smiled.

Tali hesitated a little before answering.

"Well... I like you two!" she paused and smiled nervously. " The twins? Not so much... And Vulpes is scary..."

"Vulpes is a complete douche," Mary laughed out causing Kori to cover his mouth in horror at her choice of words. "Seriously all the guy does it stand there and stare at people, he doesn't talk, he's like a mute."

"He's not THAT bad, plus he's my boss so...erhh....be nicer." Kori squeaked out, Mary gave him a fierce look. "Plus you two have never gotten along, you're both scary, why do you think Caesar constantly pairs you two together." He smirked.

Tali then looked down at her drink, turned a little pink and whispered "He's kinda hot though..."

Mary's mouth spread into a grin. "What was that Tali?" she inched closer, eyebrows raised and a cheek look on her face. "You think he's what now? And oh look you're blushing," she poked Tali in the cheek and chuckled.

"What?" Kori tilted his head, very confused, he wasn't used to dealing with women.

"Er... Nothing... Nevermind... It doesn't matter..." Tali replied, her cheeks turning red. She then began to make patterns on her soda bottle using the water that had beaded on its glass.

"Doesn't look like nothing, don't tell me you have the hots for that psychopath," Mary chuckled and sipped her water, watching Tali's pattern making work. "Because that would be a big mistake let me tell you," she looked at Kori who was patting his stomach and grumbling about being hungry.

Tali paused and tilted her head to the side.

"Why would that be a mistake?" she asked, genuinely curious.

"Because he's a prominent member of a group of misogynistic, chauvinistic pigs," Mary smiled a little and tipped her glass at the girl. "It be like turning you back on a hungry wolf and expecting it not to eat you alive." Another sigh from the women. "You'd get no where trust me, you'd just end up wasting your days in that place where no one appreciates you and your only source of human contact comes from a guy more akin to a block of stone than a human being."

Tali cringed a little.

"Yeah... That doesn't sound like fun..." She then resumed making patterns on her soda bottle.

"And then you'll end up nearing your 30's, pregnant, almost flat chested and without a coin to your name because you're not entitled to have money," she slammed her head on the table roughly making everything upon it jump. "You know you should just kill yourself now!" She mumbled from beneath her hair that had spread over her head in it's current face-plant position.

Kori watched as his empty soda bottle fell over and rolled around, he caught it before it hit the floor.

"Are... Are you alright?" Tali said anxiously, her eyes wide.

Mary held her hand up and gave Tali a thumbs-up gesture, it then dropped and slammed on the table in a depressive manner.

Kori stared. "Is she dead?" He poked her in the head, she didn't move.

"Are you sure? Do... Do you need a hug or anything?" Tali said nervously, unsure of what else to say.

"No I don't need a fucking hug," Mary pushed off of the table and turned around, extremely angry now though for seemingly no good reason.

Kori just blinked. "You're up and down like a yo-yo," he tapped the table. "Tali was only trying to help, it's not our fault you...are upset for whatever reason."

"Is it..." Tali droped her voice to a whisper, "that time of the month?" She knew all too well how horrible that could be.

Mary gritted her teeth, she had to tell someone. "I..wish it was," she glared at Kori and suddenly grabbed Tali's arm and dragged her off, pulling her into a corner. "What I am about to tell you, you tell no one!" She nodded sternly. "I..am pregnant."

Tali stood there with her mouth partly open in shock.

"Do... Do you know who the father is? And does he know?" she asked quietly.
